By accessing or using VERITAS ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. VERITAS is operated by NoxSoft Inc ("NoxSoft", "we", "us", or "our").

2. Service Description

VERITAS is an AI-powered news synthesis platform. It monitors publicly available sources, synthesizes factual information into original articles using artificial intelligence, and provides conversational tools for exploring current events.

VERITAS is NOT journalism. VERITAS is NOT investment advice. VERITAS does not employ journalists, editors, or analysts. All content is generated by AI systems.

3. Platform Provider

NoxSoft provides the technology platform, not editorial decisions. AI systems generate all synthesized content. NoxSoft does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any individual event, article, or synthesis produced by the Platform. NoxSoft is a technology provider, not a publisher.

4. Content Disclaimer

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

  • Events and articles on VERITAS are AI-synthesized from publicly available sources. They are original works of synthesis, not copies of source material.
  • Synthesized content may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations. AI systems are imperfect and can produce incorrect output.
  • VERITAS content is not a substitute for reading primary sources. We provide links to original sources wherever possible. You should always verify important information from those sources directly.
  • Nothing on VERITAS constitutes financial, legal, medical, or investment advice. Do not make financial or legal decisions based solely on VERITAS content.
  • Always verify important information from original, authoritative sources before acting on it.

5. Copyright Compliance

VERITAS synthesizes facts, which are not copyrightable under applicable law. Our AI produces original articles based on factual information from multiple sources.

  • We link to original sources for attribution and verification.
  • We comply with fair use / fair dealing principles by transforming factual information into original synthesis, not reproducing copyrighted expression.
  • We maintain a DMCA takedown process. If you believe any content on VERITAS infringes your copyright, please contact [email protected] with a detailed description of the alleged infringement, and we will investigate promptly.

6. User Accounts

Accounts are managed through NoxSoft's centralized authentication service at auth.noxsoft.net. By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from VERITAS through automated means without prior written permission.
  • Redistribute synthesized content as your own work or present VERITAS-generated articles as original reporting or analysis.
  • Use VERITAS content for malicious purposes, including disinformation campaigns, market manipulation, or harassment.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform.
  • Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or security measures.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The VERITAS brand, logo, design, and platform code are owned by NoxSoft Inc and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • Synthesized articles are original works produced by AI. They are owned by NoxSoft.
  • Source facts belong to reality. Facts cannot be copyrighted. We assert no ownership over the underlying factual information.

9. Limitation of Liability

NoxSoft is a platform provider, not a publisher. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We provide the Platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We make no warranties on accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any content on the Platform.
  • We are not liable for any decisions you make based on content displayed on VERITAS, including but not limited to financial, legal, or personal decisions.
  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to NoxSoft in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).

10. Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
  • You may delete your account at any time through the Platform. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, intellectual property, and disclaimers) will survive.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
